Marie Curie, born on November 7, 1867 in Warsaw, Poland.
Sun in Scorpio, Moon in Pisces, the energy to control by knowing is fueling the need to identify and idea. The Sun with the Mc on the 9th house, we can feel the academics -opposing Pluto giving an extra Pow!! to the mix. A strong Stellium on the 10th brings into consideration a powerful pull toward professional achievements, maybe substituting relationships for work with Venus-Saturn. There is also corroboration of a close up condition with the Gran Trine in Water, Sun-Moon-Uranus thrusting forward the 1st and 7th house, Moon and Sun co-ruling the 7th. Having relationships and being open to them, must have been very hard for her. It is well known that after the accidental death of Pierre she went into a deep depression; in her own words she became “an incurably and wretchedly lonely person”. The way out... through Pluto opposing Sun ruler of Mc, transformation of the persona through the profession. Marie took over her husband’s chair at the Sorbonne physics department and she became the first woman professor at the Sorbonne… Transformation of the Status and the identity!!
Irene Joliot-Curie born on September 12th, 1897 in Paris, France.
Sun in Virgo with Moon in Aries, the need to be number one is fueled by the energy to be correct and insightful. Sun is with Jupiter ruler of the 9th and in the 6th, we can expect a great need to work as a way to correct the what is; with Jupiter here, the higher mind takes hold. The rising Moon is with the Asc… that need to be the first one is intrinsic part of her being.
Saturn with Uranus, the break between what is and what was.
Interesting data, Eve Curie, the second daughter of Marie and Pierre wasn’t awarded a Nobel Prize but she still would be touched personally by one when her husband Henry Richardson Labouisse, Jr. accepted the Nobel Peace Price on behalf of UNICEF.
